Muktsar, May 22

The Kotbhai police have booked SAD leader Sandeep Singh ‘Sunny’ Dhillon, younger brother of SAD’s Gidderbaha constituency incharge Hardeep Singh Dimpy Dhillon, for allegedly trespassing into an interlock tiles factory at Chak Gilzewala village in Gidderbaha by threatening an employee during electioneering and making a video of it, alleging that the products manufactured were substandard.

The complainant, Satnam Singh, alleged that Sunny entered his factory in his absence on May 9 and threatened his employee there and shot a video, in which he claimed that the tiles manufactured here were sub-standard and made it viral on the social media. “Our factory is certified from the Bureau of Indian Standards. However, this video caused us financial damage,” claimed the complainant.

Thereafter, the police sought legal opinion from the District Attorney and registered a case under Sections 451 and 506 of the IPC on Wednesday. Sunny is, however, yet to be arrested. Sunny had made a video and posted it on his social media accounts, in which he had accused local MLA Amrinder Singh Raja Warring of corruption and shown some places of Gidderbaha, including an interlock tiles factory. — TNS
