Ludhiana, May 21
A training camp on “Processing of cereal crops and pulses” will be organised by the Skill Development Centre of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) from the next week.
The two-day training camp, starting on May 29, will be organised under the guidance of the Director of Extension Education, Dr JS Mahal.
The Associate Director of Skill Development, Dr TS Riar, said around 15 participants representing various self-help groups of Gurdaspur would get training during the camp.
Training in preparation of sewaiyan from besan would be imparted by Poonam A Sachdev, Head of Department of Food Science and Technology, during the camp, he added. Experts, including Surkhpreet Kaur, Arshdeep Singh and Preeti Ahluwalia, would give demonstrations on prepration of aloo bhujia, biscuits and packaging of food products, he said.
