Ludhiana, May 21
To recognise the outstanding accomplishments of schools and principals of the city, CT University, in collaboration with Radio Mirchi, organised “Education Excellence Awards 2019”. The event was attended by various school principals and teachers, radio jockeys and motivational speakers.
The event commenced with a lamp lighting ceremony. The managing director of CT Group of Institutes, Manbir Singh, the vice-chairman, Harpreet Singh, and the Vice-Chancellor Dr Harsh Sadawarti, felicitated the participating principals and teachers. The award recipients also shared their teaching experiences.
More than 21 schools were felicitated during the ceremony. The principal of Guru Nanak International Public School, Ludhiana, was conferred with three awards, ‘Best Principal Award’, ‘Active Participation Award’ and ‘Special Principal Recognition Award’. Sacred Heart Convent School was also felicitated with three awards, ‘Best Infrastructure Award’, ‘Lead Role in Academics’ and ‘100 Favourite Schools of the Year’. Manav Rachna International School was given the ‘Best Tourism Promotion School’ award, while Eastwood School was bestowed ‘Commitment to Excellence Award’. BCM Arya Model Senior Secondary School was accorded with with three awards as well, ‘School with Most Qualified Faculty’, ‘Best Eco-Friendly School’ and ‘Lead Role in Academics’.
Radio Jockeys Pak Pak Deepak and Mirchi Chetna entertained the audience. Author Sherry, founder and president of MS Talks, and a motivational speaker, said: “In today’s times, we need to follow the mantra of First Love Yourself. This is the mantra of success.” Manbir Singh said: “School education is a benchmark in one’s life and each school is special in its own way which has to be appreciated.”
