A 27-year-old gym trainer was shot dead by three assailants at Najafgarh this evening. The victim was widely famous on a popular social-networking app said a police official.

Weather it was a shootout connected with a gang war or any other old rivalry, is yet to be confirmed. The way the incident happened prima-facie indicates an old rivalry.

The incident was caught in CCTV cameras and the police are trying to identify the assailants. The deceased has been identified as Mohit More, a resident of Bahadur Garh district in Haryana. Mohit was a body builder and was as a gym trainer. He had gone famous through his acts on 'Tik Tok' videos with around five lakh followers.

The official said the incident was reported around 5.15 pm when Mohit had gone to a store in the locality. When he was inside the shop and having cold drinks, three assailants forcibly entered the store and shot him multiple times and then fled the spot.

The police found the body on a sofa inside the shop in a pool of blood. The body has been sent for autopsy.

Gangster pinned down after encounter

The police today gunned down a gangster and caught him alive after a cross firing between the police and the gangster in a secluded jungle area, Narela.

The special cell of the Delhi Police has arrested Sumit, alias Pinki, who was wanted since long time. The special cell got the information that Sumit is going to come to Narela after which the special cell constituted a team and reached the spot on the direction of informer.

While Sumit was on his motorcycle crossing Narela and going to Shahpur Garhi, the team started following him. When police tried to stop him the gangster opened firing at the police team. In reply, the police team also opened firing and shot the gangster on his leg.

The gangster fell on the road but still kept on firing at the police team.

During this, 12 rounds were exchanged in the firing and some bullets also hit the policemen, luckily they were putting on bullet-proof jackets and got saved.

After a long spell, the gangster was nabbed and imported pistol with live cartridges were seized from him.

According to a senior police official, Sumit has been earlier also been arrested in murder and other criminal cases registered with the Delhi Police. However, Sumit is into the business of illegal sale of liquor. After the incident of firing, the gangster has been admitted to Harishchand Hospital and his motorcycle has been confiscated.
