JAMMU: The Public Health Employees (PHE) Employees’ United Front on Tuesday gave a one-month ultimatum to the government to regularise all daily wagers and release pending salaries or face agitation.

The Public Health Employees (PHE) Employees’ United Front on Tuesday gave a one-month ultimatum to the government to regularise all daily wagers and release pending salaries or face agitation.

The front, which protested outside the office of the chief engineer, PHE, Jammu, alleged that despite assurances by the authorities concerned and the state administration, daily rate workers were without salaries for the last four years.

“Now, the government has to fulfil its promise or face agitation from June 22,” said Balwan Singh, a senior leader of the front. — TNS
