Veteran trade unionist and permanent invitee to the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) MM Singh Cheema has asked Congress president Rahul Gandhi to take immediate and stern action against Cabinet minister Navjot Singh Sidhu for his highly irresponsible statements, which are “just product of his imaginations” during media interactions election rallies organised by the Congress.

Cheema said these kinds of highly objectionable statements served no purpose of the Congress but just gave him cheap popularity and satisfied his ego.

Cheema stated that Sidhu and his wife had been in the Congress for just two years and had no moral ground and right to criticise state leadership unnecessarily, especially as the Capt Amarinder Singh government had established the rule of law after great efforts.
