Nahan: As much as 74.72 per cent voting was witnessed in Sirmaur district in its five Assembly segments where several elderly voters and women participated. As much as 69.42 per cent polling had been recorded in the district by 5 pm while this figure stood at 62 per cent at 3 pm. DC, Sirmaur, Lalit Jain said special facilities had been created in all polling booths to enable the elderly voters to cast votes and a large number of elderly voters participated in the polling in Pacchad, Renukaji, Nahan, Shillai and Paonta Sahib of the district. ‘People have voted for change’

Hamirpur: Residents of Hamirpur are fed up with the BJP and have voted for a change this time. This was stated by Congress candidate Ram Lal Thakur here on Sunday. He alleged that BJP leaders had been making tall promises for the last 12 years. The development of the constituency had come to a halt. The Congress leader said during campaigning in the constituency, he found that the BJP MP had ignored many areas and voters were annoyed with him. Hamirpur: BJP candidate Anurag Thakur said people voted for Modi due to good governance and welfare policies. He said the NDA was poised to take the reins of the country. People had denounced the policies of other parties, with the Himachal and the Hamipur constituency following the suit. He would score a landslide victory following his relentless efforts in bringing development to the constituency. Former CM Prem Kumar Dhumal said enthusiasm among voters reflected their trust in the Modi government.
