When would-be groom from Nurpur chose to vote first

Long queues were witnessed outside polling booths here today. Shakti Singh of Baranda gram panchayat, who is to tie the knot today, came to cast his vote, along with his parents. After casting his vote, Shakti Singh said if he could vote on his wedding day, why couldn’t others step out of their houses to choose the right candidate.

Kaushalya Devi (101), along with her family members, cast her vote at the Suliali polling station. Another centurion Jaswanti Devi (100) cast her vote at the model polling booth in Suliali. Two visually impaired voters, Saraj Deen (70) and Shaveer Deen (41), also exercised their right to vote at the Khanni polling station.
