Cancer patient postpones therapy

Ludhiana, May 19

“My therapy can wait but polls cannot wait till tomorrow,” said Manraj Kaur, who took a two-hour leave from the hospital to cast her vote.

Suffering from breast cancer, her chemotherapy was scheduled in the morning, which was later re-scheduled for the evening.

She cast her vote at booth number 101 in the Atam Nagar Assembly constituency.

Showing a victory sign before casting her vote, Manraj was happy that she was able to be a part of the democratic set up and cast her vote.

“My doctors at Christian Medical College and Hospital were considerate enough and they re-scheduled my chemotherapy timing. I am happy to cast my vote today,” she said.
