Chandigarh, May 18
The Haryana Government College Teachers’ Association (HGCTA) has objected to the procurement of digital signatures while filing ACRs online.
President of the association Dr Narender Siwach Shakti said that no discussions were held with the HGCTA office-bearers in this regard.
The memorandum submitted to the Director General, Higher Education, stated that “students’ money should be used only for student-related activities, and not for this purpose”. “There is no benefit of procuring digital signatures in the present scenario. Is there any government policy which makes it mandatory? Such a hectic, time-consuming and costly exercise is not in the favour of teachers or students,” Dr Shakti said. —TNS
