A sudden spell of rain could not stop the campaigning of political parties, who did not want to let go of the last opportunity to impress upon the voters before the Lok Sabha elections, to be held on Sunday.

Despite the drizzle, campaigners and party workers, along with the candidates, conducted their roadshows.

The candidates were seen using their power on the ground by organising road-shows in between the rain. The same competition was seen on social media sites too, as everyone went ‘live’ back to back in a show of strength.

Candidates of AAP, Congress and BSP- PDA went live after short intervals the whole day and every single act of the candidates was put up on the social media pages.

The SAD-BJP also released a poster with the message ‘Vote for Modi, Vote for Takdi’ with a photo of Narendra Modi on it.

In the past few days, political parties have taken the fight to social media, with numerous pages being formed and various pictures, posters and memes being posted. However, on the last day, the participation of political parties on social media increased manifolds.

The BSP-PDA, in its last move, surpassed every other party’s campaign by releasing a video with the song ‘Dangal’ in the background. In the video, having duration of more than 4 minutes, party candidate Balwinder Kumar is seen being supported by a huge crowd and his numerous pictures are collaged together.

Also, Justice Jora Singh, the AAP candidate, gave a little final speech by going live on his Facebook page.

The workers of the parties said the last day of campaigning was generally very important. “We made sure that we do not leave any chance of winning the elections. This was a crucial day for us and rest everything is in the hands of the people,” the workers of a party said.
