The admission process for various undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD courses at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) has begun. The prospectus is now available and application forms can be submitted through online as well as offline modes.
The admission to four-year undergraduate degree programmes of BSc (Hons) agriculture, BTech biotechnology, BTech food technology, BTech (agricultural engineering), BTech (Mech Engg), BSc (Hons) community science, BSc (Hons) nutrition and dietetics and BSc (Hons) horticulture will be done on the basis of common entrance test (CET), while admission to BSc (Hons) agriculture course of 2+4 year at Institute of Agriculture, Bathinda and Gurdaspur, will be done on the basis of AAT.
Admission to various diploma courses in agriculture will be based on interview and counseling. Candidates seeking admission to Masters programme in agricultural meteorology, agronomy, entomology, extension education, food technology, plant breeding and genetics, plant pathology and soil science will have to appear for MET-Agri Entrance Test, which will be held on July5.
Besides, postgraduate programmes being offered in the field of agricultural engineering are civil engineering (hydrology and water resource engineering/structural engineering), computer science and engineering, farm machinery and power engineering, processing and food engineering, remote sensing and geographic information system, soil and water engineering and computer applications. Several doctorate programmes are also being offered to the students.
