Our desi girl Priyanka Chopra has always been very vocal in her support of environment-related issues. She has often been involved in novel initiatives such as cleaning the Yamuna or Mumbai city and thinks that people should behave in environmentally responsible ways in their daily lives.

Sonakshi Sinha, since many years, has been talking about eco-friendly Ganesh idols during festival time. At an event, the actress said, “It is very important to preserve the environment. What we do today will secure a better future for the coming generations. Enough damage has been done to the environment over the years, what we do now is basically damage control. In our own ways we can all help to preserve the environment. Small measures go a big way.”
Committed to the goal
Dia Mirza has been living up to her beauty pageant title. She was appointed as the first United Nations Environment Goodwill Ambassador for India. She is also the ambassador of Wildlife Trust of India, which is a part of Swachh Bharat Mission’s youth-based programme. Furthermore, she is also a member of the Sanctuary Nature Foundation.
Say no to plastic
The gorgeous actress had tweeted in support of this larger cause. She tweeted, “This #EarthDay let’s work together to make this planet a better place for our future generations. Save water. Plant more trees. Say NO to plastic bags.”
