Fire destroys wheat crop on 7 acres in F’bad village

Hisar, April 21

A fire broke out in the fields at Dhani Lamba village of Fatehabad district on Sunday, destroying seven acres of wheat crop.

Landowners claimed that they made several calls to the fire station, but no one answered the phone for around an hour.

Farmers Lakhvinder Singh and Jagtar Singh said when the fire office did not respond to calls, they called the patwari, who, in turn, informed the tehsildar. The fire brigade reached the village on tehsildar’s call.
