Suspense continues over three seats - Northwest Delhi, New Delhi and East Delhi where Udit Raj, Meenakshi Lekhi and Maheish Girri, respectively, are the sitting MPs.
CAIT to support BJP
The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) today announced its support to the BJP-led NDA for the Lok Sabha elections. It will campaign for the BJP and its allies and held meetings in markets in the national capital and other parts of the country.
The CAIT will begin a “whisper campaign” in which it will urge customers and employees also to vote and support the BJP in the polls.
There are about 195 Lok Sabha seats where traders are in dominance and their voting pattern will decide the results of the polls in such constituencies, as per the CAIT.
The decision has been taken after a consultation with prominent trade leaders of the different states of the country and analysing the political situation and future of the country at a meeting of trade leaders held at New Delhi, said CAIT national president BC Bhartia.
