Jammu, April 21

Natrang, in its Sunday theatre series, presented a new Hindi play ‘Shattered Dreams’, based on poem ‘Sabse Khatarnaak’ by Avtar Singh Sandhu (Paash) at the Natrang Studio Theatre.

The play was prepared by Natrang’s fresher group, which was trained in an acting workshop held recently, and was based on chorus performance style, structured through choreographed movements. The content had a hard hitting pinch of domestic violence and was directed by Abhishek Bharti.

‘Shattered dreams’, was based on western theatre, known as image theatre, where an image is formed with the help of some visuals and the rest is left to the audience to perceive.

With no dialogue in this formation, the images made by the actors narrate the story.

The actors who acted in the play included Sushant Singh Charak, Saba Jamwal, Udit Sagar, Chahat Katyal, Aarti Devi, Bhrighu Sharma, Adil Mushtaq Khan, Chirag Anand, Aastha Sharma, Akshita Khajuria and Simran. — TNS
