Mandi, April 21

Vikramaditya Singh, son of former Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Virbhadra Singh, is campaigning extensively for the victory of Congress candidate Ashray Sharma in Mandi.

Earlier, there was bitterness between them because of the rivalry between former Telecom Minister Pandit Sukh Ram, the grandfather of Ashray, and former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh.

He addressed a public meeting today in Kullu district in favour of the Congress candidate and urged the people to support Ashray.

He said BJP MP Ram Swaroop Sharma had failed to develop the constituency. Neither the construction work of the Jalori tunnel project started, nor the Bhubhu Jot tunnel project approved, which was the long pending demand of people in the district.

He said the five-year regime of the BJP was a failure. The promises made by the BJP had remained unfulfilled.

He said if people of Kullu district ensured the victory of Congress candidate Ashray Sharma, he would bring in development projects in Kullu district.
