2 booked for abduction

A man and his mother, residents of Kakka Kandiala village, have been booked for allegedly abducting a teenage girl of the same village. The police said the accused were identified as Niahan Singh and his mother Manjit Kaur, who, along with the victim, were absconding from the village.

Girl’s father informed the police that the family members were sleeping in the house when the incident took place. He said the family found the girl missing on Saturday morning. He alleged that the accused lured away his daughter on the pretext of marriage. A case has been registered under Sections 363, 366-A and 120-B of the IPC.
