Indian National Lok Dal State Chief Ashok Arora today announced three candidates for the Lok Sabha election.

The party has fielded Abhay Chautala’s younger son Arjun Chautala from Kurukshetra, ex-serviceman Balwan Singh Yadav from Bhiwani-Mahendragarh and ex-serviceman Dharmbir Fauji from Rohtak. All three candidates would contest for the first time.

The party will declare its Gurugram candidate on Saturday. The INLD has already announced its six candidates.

While announcing the candidates, Arora said: “Arjun Chautala is the president of INLD Student Organisation, while Dharambir Fauji and Balwan Singh are ex-servicemen. Following the policies of Devi Lal, we have tried to give representation to the ex-servicemen, farmers, and students.”

A Jhajjar resident, Dharambir Fauji is state vice-president of the sainik cell of the INLD and has been associated with the party for nearly 25 years. Mahendragarh resident Balwan Singh Yadav’s family has also been associated with the party from a long time.

Arora criticised the BJP government on this occasion and said: “There is BJP government in state and Centre and it failed to fulfil its promises. The BJP in its manifesto had promised implementation of Sawaminathan report, jobs to 2 crore youths but failed to keep the word. Under the BJP’s regime, farmers have been looted in the name of moisture in crops and the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana. The law and order situation has also deteriorated under the BJP’s government in the state.”
