The Congress today demanded that PM Narendra Modi should apologise besides initiating action against the BJP’s Bhopal nominee Pragya Singh Thakur, who claimed that 26/11 martyr Hemant Karkare died because she had cursed him for “torturing” her.

Congress chief spokesperson Randeep Surjewala said the remark was an insult to every soldier who has sacrificed his life while fighting terrorism. “Modi ji, only BJP leaders can commit the crime of declaring 26/11 martyr Karkare a traitor,” he tweeted. — PTI
