Ludhiana: The students of Class VI to VIII of Om Parkash Bansal Modern School, Mandi Gobindgarh, celebrated World Heritage Day. The seminar commenced with a seminar focused on raising awareness among students about the diversity of heritage monuments and sites. Students, representing 29 states, provided details about their traditions, languages and buildings of historical importance. It was followed by an oath taken by students pledging to preserve their glorious. The school principal, Ms.Sangeeta Sharma, encouraged the students to celebrate their culture and traditions. 

BCM School

Ludhiana: BCM School, Chandigarh Road, celebrated World Heritage Day with great splendour. Students of Class IV to VIII made collages on different heritage sites of India. They were made aware about the rich heritage of India through a Powerpoint presentation. The principal, DP Guleria, said identity of our nation and our heritage was a part of their own identity.

Green Land Convent 

Green Land Convent, New Subhash Nagar, celebrated World Heritage Day with cultural and traditional zest. A presentation on the heritage of India was shown to students to mark the importance of preserving our culture. A special assembly was also held. The students of Class II to V participated in various activities based on the development of our culture. Several competitions were organised on ‘Cultural Games of Punjab’for the students of Class II to V..

BCM Kindergarten

World Heritage Day was celebrated at BCM kindergarten, Basant Vihar, with great zeal and fervour. A special assembly was conducted in which the teachers told the importance of our heritage monuments. Students took a pledge to save the heritage and the culture of the world. The principal, Dr Vandna Shahi, said school was a platform where students understood various cultures and acquired a sense of preserving them.

BVM School

BVM School, Chandigarh Road, celebrated World Heritage Day to promote cultural heritage and raise awareness about its diversity. Collage-making was organised to depict different cultures and heritage of the states of India. The principal, Upasna Modgil, motivated students to respect cultural heritage of human kind, protect and conserve cultural heritage.

Green Land Convent School

As part of the celebrations of World Heritage Day, students of Green Land Convent School, Civil City, organized activities for Class IX to XII. A digital presentation was shown by the students on the theme, ‘Our Heritage is Our Wealth’.Through this medium the students were advised to preserve and conserve cultural heritage.

Workshop on anger management

A workshop on anger managemnet was organised by GMT Public School, Jalandhar by-pass, from April 18 to19,.for Class X-XII. Detailed discussions and brain storming sessions were held. The resource person for the event was the school principal, Jasbir Kaur Bal. She guided the students to maintain their compose, communicate effectively and improve the relationships. TNS
