Expert lectures for MBA students held at PURC

BATHINDA: The postgraduate studies department of Punjabi University Regional Centre (PURC), Bathinda, organised an expert lecture on the role of HR (Human Resource) in the corporate sector and business statistics for students of the MBA department on Thursday.

The postgraduate studies department of Punjabi University Regional Centre (PURC), Bathinda, organised an expert lecture on the role of HR (Human Resource) in the corporate sector and business statistics for students of the MBA department on Thursday.

The first session of HR was delivered by Amaninder Kaur Dheendsa, assistant professor, Dasmesh Girls College, Badal. She did MBA from Punjabi University, Patiala, and later she went to Kwantlen University, Canada, to study Canadian HR concepts.

Dheendsa said, “HR is an important aspect for every organisation to be successful and with globalisation companies are facing a lot many challenges in this field.”

During the lecture, she shared her HR experiences and highlighted the importance of HR in the corporate world. She discussed various HR challenges faced by the corporate sector and highlighted ways to overcome these.

The second session was on business statistics, which was delivered by Suchreet Kaur, BSc (Honors), MSc (Honors), Punjab University, who is working as assistant professor, Punjabi University Campus, Maur.

She expressed that business statistics was very important for MBA students as to conclude every type of research the knowledge of statistics was important.
