Srinagar, April 17

The musical fountain and laser show at the Dal Lake, which has been halted for technical upgrade, will resume from Saturday. There will be three shows now.

“Owing to the overwhelming response from locals and tourists, the tourism department has decided to run three shows of the musical fountain and laser show in Dal Lake each evening after the necessary technical upgrade,” said an official of the tourism department.

He said the show would resume from Saturday onwards and the department had now decided to run it in three shifts, each of 15 minutes, from 7 pm. The trial run of the laser show had begun from April 10 and it drew huge crowds during the initial four days after which it was shut for technical upgrade.

The laser show came up at a cost of Rs 6 crore to boost the tourism sector. — TNS
