The state Congress today claimed that voters have made up their mind to overthrow the dictatorial regime of the BJP in the country.
Addressing mediapersons jointly here today, former Chief Minister and Congress star campaigner Virbhadra Singh and HPCC president Kuldeep Singh Rathore said the party was strong enough to defeat BJP candidates contesting from all four Lok Sabha constituencies of the state.
These leaders claimed that the BJP virtually had no agenda as its election manifesto for 2019 Lok Sabha general elections was a replica of its 2014 polls.
They urged the Election Commission of India to take action against those who were seeking votes in the name of martyrs and religion.
These leaders condemned the “derogatory language” used by state BJP president Satpal Singh Satti against AICC chief Rahul Gandhi. They described these remarks as “unfortunate and shameful”. On the ongoing political scenario about BJP’s former minister Anil Sharma, they said the party was observing wait-and-watch policy on how the political scene takes its turn, adding that if Anil intended to return to the Congress fold, he would be welcomed.
