Patiala, April 15
The administration has issued a notice to an owner for setting up a temporary milk booth on the Bhupindra road without seeking permission. The booth has been set up on the road near a public park in violation of the norms.
Sources said local leaders had helped the owner in setting up the booth in lieu of support in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
The booth has an electricity connection and is tactically along the road side. Shop owners in front of the park also alleged that the booth was set up in connivance with the authorities concerned.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kumar Amit said, “We have sent a notice to person, who has set up the booth. Details of the issue are being looked into.”
