SHIMLA: The local Met department has warned of thunderstorm accompanied with hailstorm and heavy winds in lower and mid hills on April 16 and 17 due to strong western disturbance.

The local Met department has warned of thunderstorm accompanied with hailstorm and heavy winds in lower and mid hills on April 16 and 17 due to strong western disturbance.

The Met office also predicted rain and thundershowers in lower and middle hills and rain and snow at isolated place in higher hills for the next four days till April 18.

The weather was clear at most places today, barring Saloni, Tissa, Wangtoo and Manali which received 2 mm of rain. Shimla witnessed traces of rain. Keylong in Lahaul-Spiti was the coldest at night and the hottest in day.
