‘Cong ditches health scheme beneficiaries’

Chandigarh: Former Deputy Speaker and Akali Dal Taksali candidate from Anandpur Sahib Bir Devinder Singh on Friday alleged that the state Congress government had ditched all beneficiaries of Bhagat Puran Singh Bima Yojana. These people were getting free medical facilities in private hospitals all over Punjab. Now, the state government has refused the pay the requisite premium of Rs 50 crore as last year’s installment and also refused to renew its commitment for the current financial year. TNS
