The police have arrested three youths on the charge of attempt to murder.
In a complaint to the police on Thursday, Imrana, a resident of Dadu Majra Colony (DMC), stated that Rishab, Sahil and their 6-7 associates thrashed her son Rehman with sticks and rods near the wall of the dumping ground. Her son fell down, but they did not stop. When people gathered there, the accused fled from the spot.
A police team reached the spot after getting information. They took Rehman to the PGI, where he is still undergoing treatment. He is unfit to record his statement.
On her complaint, a case under Sections 147, 148, 149 and 307 of the IPC was registered at the Maloya police station on Friday.
Meanwhile, the police nabbed Rishab (19), Sahil (19) and Raja (19), all residents of Dadu Majra Colony. Today, they were produced before a court, which sent them to judicial custody.
The police said efforts were on to nab the remaining suspects.
