To create awareness among students, particularly girl students, regarding the right to vote, an awareness camp was organised at Maghi College for Women, Amloh, today.

Amloh SDM Anand Sagar Sharma inaugurated the camp and briefed the students about the voting system.

He said during the upcoming Lok Sabha election, VVPAT would be used, along with EVM. With the help of VVPAT, voters would be able to ensure that their vote had gone to only that candidate to whom they had cast their vote.

He said that for the strengthening of democracy maximum participation of voters in the electoral process was must. Students were the future of the country and it was necessary that they should be aware of the right to vote and they should contribute in creating awareness about it.
