Pedestrian hit by Activa, dies

Chandigarh, March 28 

A pedestrian died after being hit by a recklessly driven scooter near the Bapu Dham Colony light point. 

According to the police, the complainant, Rani, a resident of Una district in Himachal Pradesh, reported that an Activa scooter had hit her mother Roshni on March 25. The victim sustained serious injuries in the mishap and was rushed to the PGI. 

The police said the victim succumbed to injuries during treatment.  The scooter was driven by Mansi, a resident of Sector 29. A case of rash driving was registeredagainst Mansi. She was arrested and later released on bail. — TNS
