A two-day outdoor adventure camp concluded at Satluj Public School, Sector 4, Panchkula. As many as 183 campers exhibited their talent in Burma bridge, commando net, net tunnel, rope climbing, zip line, swing ladders, tarzan swing, monkey crawl, zorb ball, wall climbing, tyre wall, running bungee, tug of war, trampoline and tattoo making. The participants were given certificates, refreshments and camper awards. Director-Principal Krit Serai was also present on the occasion

Bhavan Vidyalaya, Chandigarh

Three students of Bhavan Vidyalaya, Chandigarh, gave amazing performances at the Special Olympics World Summer Games held at Abu Dhabi. Hardik Aggarwal, Hardik Pahwa and Jatin Kashyap were members of the Special Olympics Bharat contingent. Hardik Aggarwal participated in roller skating events and won a silver medal in 500 m and a bronze medal each in 300 m and 2x100 m relay. Hardik Pahwa secured a silver medal in basketball unified event, while Jatin secured the sixth position in 100 m run and fifth position in 200 m run. 

Bachpan School, Nayagaon

Bachpan School, Nayagaon, celebrated its 15th annual day at the main auditorium of Bal Bhawan, Sector 23, Chandigarh. Students presented colourful dances and skits. The highlight of the day was a bhangra performance by a number of students. Principal Rachna Malhotra distributed prizes among the meritorious students.

Manav Rachna, Mohali 

Manav Rachna International School marked the end of the first academic session (2018-19) by putting up a great cultural show, ‘Harmonia’ — the synthesis of all performing arts. The audience was mesmerised by a fairy tale show by Grade-II students. The play, ‘Kabira’, by students of Grade IV-VII was appreciated by one and all. Principal Taruna Vashisht thanked the guests and parents for sparing their time and making the show a success. 

Saupin’s School, Panchkula 

Saupin’s School, Panchkula, organised a special assembly on the first day of the new academic session. Father Premanand showered blessings by sprinkling holy water on the gathering. Principal Jayeta Auddy wished everyone a successful year ahead.

DAV-8, Panchkula 

DAV School, Sector 8, Panchkula, organised a ‘havan’ ceremony to mark the beginning of the new academic session. After the induction session in their respective classrooms, the little ones participated in a number of fun-filled activities.

Hopper International, Kharar

Hopper International Smart School, Kharar, organised its annual prize distribution function. Degrees were also awarded to upper Kindergarten students. The function named ‘Hakuna Matata’ included a series of thematic performances ranging from devotion to family values, patriotism, unity in diversity, parental love, social issues and many more. Managing Director Rajeev Malhotra and Director Sonal Malhotra presided over as guests.
