800 water tax defaulters served notice

Zirakpur Municipal Council’s water works department has started a massive recovery and disconnection drive against water tax defaulters across the city.

The council has served notices, including residential buildings or houses and commercial establishments, on 800 defaulters.

Notices were sent to consumers who had arrears for long. Three days’ time had been given to those who have not placed any objection against the arrears or who had not paid bills after resolving the objection, the officer said a senior MC official. — OC
