Congress announces three more candidates

New Delhi: The Congress on Tuesday night announced three more candidates for the LS polls, pitting Sanjay Kapoor against BJP’s Jaya Prada in UP’s Rampur constituency. Its Central Election Committee said Dharmesh Bhimbhai Patel will be the party nominee from Navsari in Gujarat, while Naresh Maheshwari will be its candidate from Kachchh, a seat reserved for the SCs. BSP nominee files complaint against Cong candidate 

Lucknow: BSP’s Bijnore candidate Moolak Nagar on Tuesday lodged a complaint with the district Returning Officer against Congress candidate Naseemuddin Siddiqui for concealing facts in his election affidavit. Nagar said Siddiqui, who was nominated to the Vidhan Parishad by the BSP on January 23, 2015, has not so far resigned from his seat in the Upper House in UP. “No person can be a member of two political parties at the same time,” he said.
