The services of central paramilitary forces and Railways Protection Force (RPF) may soon get the status of “organised” as the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) has asked the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and Ministry of Railways to move a proposal keeping in view the order of the Supreme Court.

In a memorandum, the DoPT has asked the Joint Secretary (Police-I) of the MHA and the Joint Director, Establishment (GC) of the railway Board “to move a proposal for grant of organised status for implementation of the order of the SC immediately”.
