Badal gets active in Lambi segment

As the elections are drawing closer and SAD is set to field party chief Sukhbir Singh Badal from Ferozepur and Union minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal from Bathinda, 91-year-old party patriarch Parkash Singh Badal has become active.

From the last few days, he has been attending weddings and meeting people who have lost their family members recently.

Earlier, Badal was away at his Balasar farmhouse in Haryana as doctors had reportedly advised him rest.

Sources said the party patron was preferring to tour in the morning hours due to health reasons. “Though he is fine now, his health does not allow him to stretch himself much. He went to two villages to mourn the deaths of 16 persons. However, it was not related to elections as he always meets people on such occasions,” claimed a SAD leader. — TNS
