12 nominations for Jammu seat rejected

JAMMU: Nomination forms of 12 candidates out of 39 in fray from Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha constituency were rejected by Jammu Deputy Commissioner on Tuesday during scrutiny.

Nomination forms of 12 candidates out of 39 in fray from Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha constituency were rejected by Jammu Deputy Commissioner on Tuesday during scrutiny. Now, 27 candidates are left in fray.

An official of the DC office, Jammu, said “12 forms were rejected during scrutiny today”. Officials said candidates can withdraw their names till March 28.

A total of 39 candidates had filed their nomination papers from the Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha seat till Monday, which was the last date of nomination.
