Two booked in dowry case

PHAGWARA: On a complaint lodged by Sonia, a resident of Hadiabad (Phagwara), the Satnampura police have registered a case under Sections 406 and 498-A of the IPC against her husband Sahil Sachdeva and his mother Neelam Sachdeva, both residents of Haridwar on the charge of torturing the complainant and to bring more dowry.

On a complaint lodged by Sonia, a resident of Hadiabad (Phagwara), the Satnampura police have registered a case under Sections 406 and 498-A of the IPC against her husband Sahil Sachdeva and his mother Neelam Sachdeva, both residents of Haridwar on the charge of torturing the complainant and to bring more dowry.

The complainant, in her complaint lodged before the police told that she was married to Sahil on December 2, 2017. But despite sufficient dowry, her in-laws went on torturing her for more dowry.

No arrest has been made so far.
