Thumpers Cafe, riding for a cause

CHANDIGARH: Thumpers Cafe, a city-based riding group with more than 400 riders, is organising the third edition of their annual bike rally — Rang De Basanti-2019 (RDB-2019) — against drug addiction on March 24 at Tagore Theatre in Sector 18.

Thumpers Cafe, a city-based riding group with more than 400 riders, is organising the third edition of their annual bike rally — Rang De Basanti-2019 (RDB-2019) — against drug addiction on March 24 at Tagore Theatre in Sector 18. Their initiative is supported by Flicker Hoods and the STF, Punjab Police.

The RDB will be organised as a pan-India event in more than 30 cities on the same day. More than 6,000 riders are expected to ride for the campaign, which is being organised in Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Ambala, Allahabad, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Delhi, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jalandhar, Jammu, Kanpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patiala, Pune, Shimla. Founders of The Thumpers — Munish, Satnam, Rajat, Sanjay, Hemant, Nitin, Kushal, Simran, Abhi, Jatesh, and Prabh Singh — said the ride will start from Ananda Apartments, Sector 82, Mohali, at 9 am. — TNS
