JD(S) leader joins BSP with Gowda’s assent

New Delhi, March 16

Danish Ali, JD(S) general secretary who was until a while ago convener of the Congress-JD(S) coordination committee in Karnataka, on Saturday surprised everyone by joining the BSP in UP. 

Ali was until two days ago sitting in JD(S) meetings to mull pre-poll LS alliance with the Congress in Karnataka. 

Karnataka CM HD Kumaraswamy tweeted after Ali’s exit: “Danish Ali, the JD(S) general secretary, has joined BSP in consent with me and our national president HD Deve Gowda in a purely political arrangement between the two parties. It is a thoughtful political decision taken by JD(S) and BSP to win more seats.” — TNS
