Two friends murdered

Armed gangsters allegedly murdered two friends in Pasharvnath City Enclave near Raipur village of the district on Saturday night. The deceased have been identified as Himanshu (24) and Deepankar (25).

The reason behind the murder is yet to be ascertained.

After committing the crime, the gangsters parked Deepankar’s car about 150 ft from the crime spot. On the complaint of Himanshu’s father Raj Kiran, a case has been registered against unidentified persons in the Sadar police station.

Vazir Singh, SHO of the police station, said the police recovered three mobile phones from the crime spot and one of these could be of a gangster.

Raj Kiran informed the police that around 8.10 pm on Saturday, he received a call from his son, who said he would be home soon. But around 8.35 pm, he received information about his murder.

Himanshu was unmarried, while Deepankur was married with a child.
