Mistaken identity peppered with a love triangle in a madcap comedy is what Naukar Vahuti Da promises to be. A story that would see veteran actor Jaswinder Bhalla share screen with Binnu Dhillon and Kulraj Randhawa.
“Comedy remains a favourite with the audience, actor, directors, producers and everyone surely like to play safe,” shares Jaswinder Bhalla. Three decades in the industry, he has tickled the funny bone first through Chhankata, a series of audio cassettes before establishing self as the frontrunner in Pollywood comedy scene. How has the field changed since he began? “Earlier it were the jokes that were popular, it’s been the time of situational comedies,” shares Bhalla who has continued to be part of Punjabi films starting from Mahaul Theek Hai, Jatt and Juliet to Carry On Jatta. All this while, he has also continued to work at Punjab Agricultural University, “I love be in the service of the culture and agriculture equally,” says he. And much of his preparation, he credits to college and university stages, “It was in youth festivals that I found my calling.”
