Aim to provide thousands of jobs to youth, says DC

Seven job fairs will be organised in Ludhiana district

Ludhiana Deputy Commissioner (DC) Pradeep Kumar Agrawal today informed that under the state government’s “Ghar Ghar Rozgar Yojana”, seven sub-division level job fairs would be organised in the district from February 13 onwards.

He said the district administration aims to provide employment opportunity to thousands of unemployed youngsters of the region.

Agrawal said the first job fair would be organised at Government ITI, Gill Road, on February 13. Two job fairs would be organised on February 16 at Swami Ganga Giri College, Gondwal near Raikot and at Government ITI Girls, Samrala, Ludhiana.

On February 17, two job fairs would be held at Government Senior Secondary School for Girls, Jagraon, Ludhiana, and at Government Senior Secondary School for Boys, Payal, Ludhiana, while on February 22, two job fairs would be organised at Gulzar Group of Institutes, Khanna, Ludhiana, and at Government Institute of Textile Chemistry and Knitting Technology, Rishi Nagar, Ludhiana.

The DC has already issued necessary directions to the concerned officials and urged them to ensure that maximum number of youngsters should definitely attend these job fairs.

He said youngsters can get themselves registered at ww.ghargharrozgar.punjab.gov.in portal.

He added that apart from Ludhiana-based companies, representatives from various other firms of the state would also participate in these job fairs.

Agrawal said youngsters should take full advantage of these job fairs as several reputed companies were willing to provide employment to them.

  • February 13: Government ITI, Gill Road, Ludhiana
