lUDHIANA, January 22

Leaders of the SAD (Taksali), Punjabi Ekta Party, Lok Insaaf Party and the BSP held a meeting in Ludhiana on Monday to make a joint strategy for the Lok Sabha elections. However, no decision on allotment of tickets was taken as it was their first meeting together under the banner “Punjab Democratic Alliance”.

Shiromani Akali Dal (Taksali) President, Ranjit Singh Brahmpura said that he talked to AAP state president and Sangrur MP Bhagwant Mann to join alliance. But, Mann stated that they can't join the alliance if Sukhpal Khaira is part of it, Brahmpura said.

Khaira said, “When I was asked, I said I have no objection if AAP is included in the alliance as our aim is welfare of Punjab. But, AAP has displayed narrow-mindedness by imposing a condition.”
