PGIMS doc among two booked

The police have registered an FIR against Dr Jangveer Grewal, president of the Resident Doctors’ Association, PGIMS, and one Krishan under Sections 170, 186, 353, 354-C, 419 and 420 of the IPC.

The FIR has been registered on the basis of a complaint filed by Dr Sandeep, a deputy medical superintendent, PGIMS. He has levelled serious allegations against them such as unauthorised entry into the operation theatre, causing hindrance in services, making videos in an unauthorised manner and threatening patients and staff members at the institute.

Dr Grewal and other members of the RDA alleged the charges were baseless.

RDA vice-president, Dr Gaurav Nandal said resident doctors had started wearing black badges on duty as a mark of protest. — TNS
