The body of Raj Kumar (30), a labourer, was found near the Daliyanwali link road in Abohar under mysterious circumstances. He had gone for work on Monday morning but did not turn up there.

A search led to recovery of his body on Tuesday. It was shifted to the Sub-Divisional Civil Hospital for further proceedings.

In another case, the body of Aditya Shukla (40) of Bihar was found near a liquor vend at the Mini Mayapuri automobile market in Sriganganagar on Tuesday morning. Preliminary investigation reportedly indicated that someone used a brick or a rod to assault him late Monday night. The police record indicated that he had been arrested for pickpocketing at least 10 times. The body was shifted to the Civil Hospital for autopsy.

Meanwhile, the police in Sriganganagar on Monday found the body of a man from shrubs near the APD Minor (sub-canal). His face was burnt and there were other injuries too on his body. — OC
