Rohtak, October 19

Senior Congress leader and former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda said that the INLD had been exposed before the people and its cadre was diminishing across the state.

“A large number of INLD members in several villages have been approaching us for joining the Congress,” Hooda said while addressing a news conference here on Friday.

On being asked about the student union elections held in the state, Hooda remarked that the elections should be direct as there was an instrumental role of the government in the indirect elections.

Castigating the BJP government for the ongoing strike by the roadways workers, Hooda said that the state government had adopted a stubborn approach instead of addressing the concerns of the protesting employees.

“The state government has not honoured its commitments made to the employees and taken a U-turn on many occasions,” he stated.
