2 girls raped in separate incidents in Ambala

A minor girl has allegedly been raped by a doctor in Kathgarh village of Ambala on Saturday night.

In her complaint to the police, the victim alleged that Dr Karma was running a clinic in their village and her family members used to visit him for treatment when sick. On Saturday, at around 8 pm, she was returning home after attending a religious event at her uncle’s house.

The doctor met her on the way and forcefully took her to a room situated in the fields nearby and raped her, she alleged. The girl alleged that the accused threatened her with dire consequences and that he would kill her brother if she revealed the incident to anyone.

The girl revealed the matter to her mother and later lodged a complaint at the Women police station on Sunday.

A case has been registered under Section 4 of the Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and Section 506 of the Indian Penal Code. The accused is yet to be arrested.

Meanwhile, a 14-year-old girl has allegedly been raped by a youth in Ambala.

The victim, in her complaint to the police, stated that she knew the accused for the past two months and used to talk to him over phone. On September 14, they met at Ambala Cantonment bus stand from where he took her to a room and raped her. The accused raped her again the next day, the girl alleged, adding that on September 16, the accused left her near Mohra chowk.

A case has been registered under Section 4 of the POCSO Act at the Sadar police station on Saturday night. The accused is yet to be arrested.
