Veterinary inspectors stage protest

At the call to protest given by Punjab State Veterinary Inspector’s Association, all the inspectors of the district today staged a protest in front of the office of the Deputy Director, Animal Husbandry.

They have been protesting under the leadership of president Paramjit Singh Garewal against extension the contract of unqualified and inexperienced veterinary pharmacists.

Speaking on the occasion, Paramjit said following a well planned conspiracy against the veterinary inspectors of the state, the government has been extending the contract of unqualified and inexperienced veterinary pharmacists.

He said they would continue their protest over the issue.

State secretary Amrik Singh Kahlon said they would boycott the Animal Championship going to take place at Muktsar on January 12. He said they would protest against Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal at Muktsar by waving black flags at him.

They also handed over a memorandum of demands to the deputy director.
