New board of governors at PTUholds meeting

JALANDHAR: The seventh board of governors (BoG) of IK Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU) held a meeting of officials of the varsity today.

The seventh board of governors (BoG) of IK Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU) held a meeting of officials of the varsity today. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of former Vice-Chancellor (VC) Dr SK Salwan. He was welcomed by IKGPTU VC Dr Ajay Sharma.

New members were apprised of the functioning of the seven statutory bodies of the varsity and were introduced to the senior administrative officials. The agenda of the recently-held academic council meeting too was discussed.

The members deliberated on the MoU being signed by the varsity with Tata Technologies. An MoU had been signed for setting up the Centres of innovation, invention and incubation dedicated to Guru Nanak Dev and Guru Gobind Singh to be set up at Sultanpur Lodhi and Chamkaur Sahib. The centres are to come up at a cost of Rs 739 crore.
