Additional Deputy Commissioner of Jalandhar Jasbir Singh today underscored the need for giving an impetus to industrial development in the region for opening new vistas of employment for the youth.
Interacting with industrialists during an awareness and motivational programme on the micro and small enterprises cluster development scheme here at the District Administrative Complex, the Additional Deputy Commissioner said that industrial development was more important for putting the economy of the state on a further high growth trajectory.
Jasbir Singh said the industrialists must avail the incentives offered by the government by giving a major push to the industrial growth in the region.
Exhorting the industrialists to take maximum mileage of the government’s policy to boost industrial development in the state, especially the Medium and Small Manufacturing Enterprises (MSME) sector, the Additional Deputy Commissioner said the state government was making concerted efforts to facilitate the industrial units in availing the benefits under this scheme.
Assuring full support and cooperation to these industrialists, he said the district administration, along with industries department, would give all out support and cooperation to the industrialists.
Meanwhile, representative of M/S Grant Thornton Company V Padmanand also apprised the industrialists of various schemes being offered by the government for forming Special Purpose Vehicles (SPV) or the clusters to boost industrial development in the region.
Additional Deputy Commissioner asked the industrialists to avail the benefits of these schemes collectively.
Additional Directors of Industries department TS Khosla, SM Goyal and General Manager Industries Mahesh Khanna were also present on the occasion.
